Nhà ga là ga cuối phía bắc của tuyến Thomson – East Coast (TEL) và sẽ là ga tàu điện ngầm cực bắc ở Singapore khi khai trương vào ngày 31 tháng 1 năm 2020. Nó nằm trong một khu vực đang phát triển ở Woodlands North tại Woodlands North Coast Road, tắt Đường Admiralty phía Tây. Ga này là một trong ba ga tàu điện ngầm duy nhất không nằm cạnh dải phân cách giữa đường. Hai ga còn lại là ga tàu điện ngầm Mattar trên tuyến Downtown và ga tàu điện ngầm Hougang trên tuyến Đông Bắc. Một hệ thống vận tải nhanh Johor Bahru – Singapore (RTS) đã được lên kế hoạch tại nhà ga này đã bị hoãn lại vào ngày 21 tháng 5 năm 2019 do các vấn đề tài chính từ phía Malaysia.
